Die Société des Phonographes & Cinématographes "LUX" wurde 1906 von Henri Joly gegründet. Mit Sitz im Herzen von Paris widmete sie sich der Herstellung, dem Verkauf und der Vermietung von Kinogeräten und Präzisionsinstrumenten für animierte Fotografie und Tonaufnahmen. Sie produzierte auch eigene Filme und Materialien und besaß ein Aufnahmetheater sowie eine Fabrik in Gentilly. Trotz der Entwicklung innovativer Technologien, wie einem von Léopold Lobel patentierten Aufnahmegerät, wurde die Gesellschaft 1913 aufgelöst. | ||||||||
History (English) |
The Société des Phonographes & Cinématographes "LUX" was established by Henri Joly in 1906. Located in the heart of Paris, it dedicated itself to the manufacturing, sale, and rental of cinematographic equipment and precision instruments for animated photography and sound recordings. It also produced its own films and materials and owned a recording theater as well as a factory in Gentilly. Despite developing innovative technologies, such as a recording device patented by Léopold Lobel, the company was dissolved in 1913. | ||||||||
