The company was founded in 1847 as Delaware, Lehigh, Schuylkill & Susquehanna Railroad. In 1853 the name was changed to Lehigh Valley Railroad. The main line let from New York to Buffalo. It was one of the lines with the most railway traffic in the USA. | |||
